This game is fantastic, really fun with 4 or more players. All your choices on your turn feel important and advance your technology or presence on the board. Exploring new tiles is exciting and upgrading technology feels good. Amazing components, great storage and easy to follow rules.

Amazing, the game is ready in 10 minutes and the learning cube is really easy. A classic, yet contemporary. Luck...yes, there is dice!, BUT! it is practically the fog of battle which it may never be perfect! This is the mercedes of 4X games. Enjoy it!!
4X at its best! Takes out all the boring parts of other 4X games and focuses on the fun parts: Ship building and combat. Other elements (exploration, diplomacy, economy, etc.) are present but not overly complicated. All the bookkeeping and admin stuff is made easy, thanks to an innovative tracking system/player board. One game doesn't take too much time (one evening), but it's still long enough for interesting developments/strategies.
My favorite 4x-type of game - partially because it's actually playable at 2. It's not a massive space opera like TI, but it still makes for a great journey.
Eclipse looks and feels epic. It might look really complex but it actually plays really smoothly and is mechanically elegant. It's a very much a euro game but has just enough randomness for my liking. Most importantly it's randomness that you can control. By upgrading your ships, you can drastically improve your chances in battles. I love so many things about this game. The theme is interesting. The art is beautiful. It looks awesome on the table. Setup is fast. Rules are not overly complex so you can use your brain power on strategizing. The resource management is handled in a very elegant way. Exploring new sectors, upgrading ships and battling are super fun.
