Not a fan of Roll and Write mechanics, but Endless Winter is one of my favorite games, and I'm always eager to add to the experience. This does work well with the game, so I'm still glad that I bought it.

I always play with this expansion. I find that it adds great value by widening the decision making space in a fun way. I think this is worth the effort.

Mit der "Höhlenmalerei" können die Spieler ein Mammut zeichnen. Durch ein weiteres Aktionsfeld malen die Spieler mit abwischbaren Stiften auf ihren Wertungsbrettern. Ist ein Bereich vollständig umrandet, bringt dieser jede Runde Einkommen oder gewährt einmalige und sehr starke Sonderaktionen. Diese Erweiterung hatte mich anfangs sehr abgeschreckt, da sie in meinen Augen nur einen 'X and Write' Mechanismus dem Spiel hinzufügt, nur damit es einen weiteren Mechanismus erhält. Nach dem Spielen muss ich meine Meinung allerdings revidieren, denn die "Höhlenmalerei" gefällt mir außerordentlich gut und sie passt zudem noch sehr stimmig ins Setting und wertet damit das Thema des Spiels weiter auf.

Additional crunch if you get bored with Endless Winter. Also the actually "painting" the cave paintings with a dry erase marker is certainly something new. Thought it's ridiculous, but now I like it.
