A Minority Report inspired Choose Your Own Escape game that was surprisingly even better than the very good (and very dark) occult-themed The Awakening. The Escape Tales series is great for anyone who loves untimed puzzle solving, interactive stories, and The X-Files. Just like when we played The Awakening, we ended up with a conclusion that was not a great outcome for our protagonist, however, it was a good ending for all of humanity. Great story and great puzzle. Play this instead of Unlock or Exit. Unlock/Exit is just silly puzzle without thematic and logic.
Absolutely the best puzzles and narrative of any escape room series. I can’t believe exit is so well known with this series being one of the best things ever produced.
I played through this one and the review has been completed. While I thought I might need to hang onto these games if there were cross-game connections/things to do, I was proven wrong. Each Escape Tales is independent from the others (although there are Easter eggs).
Another critical hit in this series. The harder puzzles are way harder, and we needed some hints for a few puzzles. Definitely interested to play through again, especially knowing there's content we didn't get through in the first run. You've gotta get this.
