A cooperative adventure with limited communication: a mysterious phenomenon is shortening the lives of the world's inhabitants, and players venture into the realm of the Eternals to uncover its cause. At the start of each game, players have few cards representing their life energy, played in turns to complete scenario objectives or help teammates: if someone cannot play or give a card, the cycle of life breaks and the game is lost. To stay alive, you must gain new energy from the mysterious Eternals, but awakening them also activates their curse. Communication between players is limited: no explicit talk about cards in hand, only two tokens per player to give clues on the board. Six scenarios test the team through point collection, ghost cities, labyrinths and final bosses. This German edition features a reorganized rulebook for easier learning, a revised insert for faster setup and a color palette designed to be readable even for those with color blindness.

I can't think of a single thing wrong with this game. Components are superb, gameplay is highly replayable, lots of variety in the scenarios and how to play. Amazing solo, great at 2 for new players or non-boardgamers, super fun at 3. I expected to like the game, but it's by far the best game in my collection, and it exceeded my expectations. In my opinion, it's perfect at what it is trying to do.
The artwork is absolutely gorgeous - mesmerizing, mysterious, cute, and bursting with color. Every scenario feels fresh and engaging, with plenty of variety to keep things exciting. What I love most is how much teamwork and silent understanding the game demands. You really need to read your teammates, anticipate their intentions, and work together without always being able to communicate everything directly. A beautiful and highly engaging cooperative experience. Highly recommended!
This game is a beautiful experience. Pragmatically, the quality of the material for the price is exceptional. But playing the solo story game is truly an incredibly cosy and satisfying moment.
Beautifully designed cards, easy-to-understand rules, and cooperative gameplay with friends to unravel the mysteries of the Eternal Land. While the number of levels is limited, each is unique and story-driven, ensuring a fresh and engaging experience every time. It is recommended to play using only tokens and no communication. The version I played was the Traditional Chinese version, a masterpiece published by Cheng En. Looking forward to future expansions that will allow for more replays.
Absolutely love the game design and the artwork for this one. Not usually a fan of coop games but this one stands out in the way it creates tension and still allows lot of communication in between the players without revealing explecitely what they have. Its for sure very different than all of the other coop games I have played before and it is still very approachable to newcomers without being too overwhelming. There is also an awesome story solo mode that is almost another game by itself. Lot of fun and replayability :)
