Very fun dice driven tableau engine builder. I like that you actually get to make use of the engine you are building from the start. May be a bit too heads down for many without Subterfuge

Description
Official full colour insert compatible with Fantastic Factories®, including the Manufactions® and Subterfuge® expansions. The design provides both efficient storage and improved game play, with removable token trays for use during the game. The rulebooks act as a lid on top of the trays. The trays are arranged in up to two layers, with a large card tray with no base at one end. These are the trays from the insert, all with colour print designs. The card tray is sized for sleeved cards. The general token tray also has space for the wooden factory from the first edition of the game. These images show the trays without the game components inside so that you can see the colour print designs. Every tray includes images from the rulebook or game cards and boards. The images greatly improve the look of the trays, but also help in game clear up as you can instantly see what goes where. When packing the box, first place the headquarters boards on top of the token trays together with the Subterfuge® expansion rulebook. Lastly place the remaining rulebooks on top of everything. This fully fills the box and allows for vertical storage of the game. FS-FANFAC is an officially licensed insert product made in partnership with Deep Water Games®. All trademarks and copyrights remain the property of their respective owners. This product consists of a flat-pack of 2 Evacore sheets. The trays require assembly, which is quick and fun, using ordinary PVA glue. Detailed instructions are included in the package.

I love this game. I'm a mostly solo player and Fantastic factories has a Fantastic solo mode. I love the combo creation, dice rolling for some randomness but if you have a bit of strategy you can almost always turn the dice to your advantage in some way. Plus the game is easy to learn and play despite a good depth of thinking available to find the best action in each circumstance, planning ahead, etc.

Pris en premier pour jouer en solo. Règles simples et jeu rapide à mettre en place (~3 minutes) et durée comme annoncée ~45 minutes (sauf la première partie de découverte) L'adversaire solo : "La machine" est simplissime à gérer et suffisamment compétitif pour s'amuser. Le mélange de genre marche super bien : construction de moteur, enchainement d'actions (combo), placement d'ouvriers (les dés). Après en multi, c'est un jeu sans interaction car chacun fait son moteur dans son coin, mais tout le monde prend plaisir à y jouer. Pour la direction artistique, on aimera ou pas mais ça à le mérite de ne pas laisser indifférent : perso j'adore

A weird twist on what has become my favorite incredibly specific subgenre. Always involves at least 2 of these Worker Placement/Resource Gathering/deck building. Similar to everdell but worker placement is only on the cards you've placed, in a way i think is better than everdell. Much less interaction with other people though. Also the worker cards are rarely used. I've played this game about 15 times and someone has taken those cards maybe 20 times total. To the point that I might just sort through them so only really good ones remain and they're used more. Also added a 6th player board and generic white dice.

Fantastiques Fabriques est un excellent jeu de pose d’ouvrier et de moteur de ressources avec une petit course. Le design, qui pourrait déplaire, m’a bien séduit, il est épuré, clair et coloré. Un brin casse tête, Fantastique Fabriques vous fera réfléchir, anticiper, calculer; votre cerveau ne restera pas au repos lors d’une partie. Les deux extensions sont indispensables, ne rajoutent pas de complexité au niveau des règles, mais rajoutent de l’asymétrie, de l’interaction, du contrôle du hasard qui manquait avec la boite de base.
