Description Description
The French Revolution is famous in part for the use of the guillotine to put nobles to death, and this is the macabre subject of this light card game. As executioners pandering to the masses, the players are trying to behead the least popular nobles. Each day the nobles are lined up and players take turns killing the ones at the front of the line until all the nobles are gone. However, players are given cards which will manipulate the line order right before 'harvesting,' which is what makes the game interesting. After three days worth of chopping, the highest total carries the day.

Fantastic game for people that don't play normally play board/card games, with just enough enough player interaction and planning to keep veterans from getting bored. With almost no need for instructions, this is always the first game out with new people, or for a quick icebreaker at the start of game night.

So much fun no 2 games are ever the same and there is so much strategy as well as luck involved it’s the perfect balance. Not to mention the wording on th cards is so specific that it makes you really use your brain when calculating moves, and can be enjoyed with 2 as well as 5 people!

First, this game is insanely fun and replayable. Then, when considering how easy it is to learn, how few people you need to play, how quick setup is, and how quick games are, that becomes an astonishing amount of fun. Praying for a rerelease.

Easy for new people to pick up, nice art, very portable - all round a fun game that I love. I've played my copy so much the box is faded on one side and falling apart!

https://danielsolisblog.blogspot.com/2015/07/one-thing-to-avoid-in-game-design.html In addition to removing the "Callous Guards" card, we also play without the "Robespierre" and "Scarlet Pimpernel" cards. Both of the latter cut the game's 3 "days" short.
