The nation's wounds have not yet healed. What was once disorder has now transformed into social unease. As class conflict continues, new threats loom over the nation. With rising crime, spreading discontent, and intensifying environmental crises, the State pushes for increasingly repressive laws, tightening surveillance and censoring freedom of speech. With democracy in danger and hard-won freedoms eroding in the name of public security, which side will you take?
Shadows of Authority is an expansion to the multi-award-winning Hegemony: Lead Your Class to Victory. It introduces a new ideological axis, Authoritarianism versus Freedom, on which players will clash, with new policies to vote on and new mechanisms to use. At the same time, environmental themes and pollution are introduced, challenging players to address ecological issues and shape the future quality of life for their class and the nation.
