A good little white-knuckle game. Stands alone among deckbuilders by having to overcome a number of arch-villains of different strengths and styles. I have beaten this game more than once on the last possible turn, even in simple "demo" games.

Play as a superhero and defend Metro City from your archenemy! Heroes of Metro City is a card game featuring deck-building mechanics for 2-4 players. Build your deck and face epic challenges in games lasting around 60 minutes. Suitable from age 13+.
The game game is in consignmentStock but only few copies are available
- 426 cards (59.0mmx91.0mm)
Heroes of Metro City uses dynamic deck-building combined with unique Energy Source slots to create a power management mechanism (using your Hero Placard) that lets you decide which powers and abilities are most important for each turn. The Hero Placard also helps to guide you through the six phases of each turn.
To succeed, the Heroes must do battle with hordes of Minions, diabolical Villains, and the Archenemy who leads them! The more Energy and Powers a Hero develops, the closer he gets to defeating their Archenemy. The first player to defeat the Archenemy wins the game...unless the Archenemy destroys so much of Metro City that there's nothing left to save!

I enjoyed it for what it was. It is a rather grueling deck builder where you have to remain focused on what you're building and optimize.
This is a refreshing evolution of the deck building mechanic. Along the lines of SotM, HoMC gives players an opportunity to take on the persona of a unique super hero.
Very difficult, but that's part of the fun! A lot depends on the available abilities and some archenemies are definitely harder than others. Great replay-ability though.
Honestly, it's one of the more fun deck builders. We pretty much just play ot cooperatively with a scosh of competition. Feels good to play.
