Unoriginal in mechanics, but this is precisely the type of jattwat I'm open to enjoying. Very minor tweak that doesn't stop the flow of card play.

A trick-taking game where the tension comes from timing exactly when to win your two tricks for the best score, while desperately avoiding a third and getting knocked out. It adds a super fun layer of pressure to the game. One of my favorites.

A solid trick taking game, I like how much control you have over your hand, by being able to discard several cards. Additionally, since you're always going for a pretty middling set of two tricks, it's almost always possible to make it. The problem is that people sluff unexpectedly, which causes you to frequently re-evaluate your tactics. Finally, you don't want to just pick up your two tricks first, as it's more valuable to wait until later. The problem is that it can be tough to stop and there might be an opponent or two that may aggressively steal your tricks towards the end.

First play impression: lots of fun! Lots of tension as you struggle to win two tricks, and then see if you can hold on and not get stuck with a third. Has a similar feel to Dokitto Ice and Voodoo Prince because of this.
