Le Havre lite...I'd probably say Le Havre is my favorite game out there so this one went over real well. I'm curious to see how I'll feel about it after 10+ plays but my guess is that this game will crack my top ten...perhaps top five. Edit After ten plays I'm still really enjoying it. Not as many options as say Le Havre but there's quite a few. The auction mechanic and how it plays out is what will keep this game fresh for me. I'm always willing to play this game.

Homesteaders
The game lasts ten rounds, with each round consisting of an auction phase followed by a building phase. After the last round, players take one final income phase and have one last chance to buy and sell goods and use their building abilities before scores are tallied.
Players score for their buildings, bonuses conferred by buildings, and points earned throughout the game from selling resource cubes. The player who builds the best combination of buildings and best manages the nine different resources in the game will score the most points and win – as long as they don't take on too much debt!

Pretty much my favorite game in the collection. The only drawback is sometimes the bidding phase can cause AP (analysis paralysis). Great game. Fun theme. I love it!
I really enjoy Homesteaders a lot. The auction mechanic is straight forward and doesn't take away from the main meat of the game. This really isn't worker placement game since the only place you can put workers is on your own stuff, no one else can get in the way. Rather i look at as a city building, economic engine game with an auction driving your purchases. Official 2p variant works great.
A game that combines the classic bidding with the expanded reproduction of tile effects. The key point is the possibility to sell/buy goods, and by using the buy/sell table well, you can generate resources that you do not own. In addition, unlimited debt is possible, and anything you want can be obtained through the auction. However, if you incur huge debts, you lose from the game. Strategy is therefore important. A wide variety of combos can be created to win the game, as well as a wide variety of ways to beat the game. The game is highly replayable and full of diversity of strategies. It is a great game.
What can I say other than I love this game. My fist play was a 2 player game which I enjoyed immensely. After playing a 4 player game I'm starting to see the full potential of what this game has to offer with many paths to victory. I love how you can win without ever having or producing an apple for example. I love how you're never truly out of an auction because you can take debt tokens. Its your call how far into the hole you are willing to go. Many meaningful decisions here.
