The game is nice from the beginning and the longer you play the more depth is revealed. However, the game connects young and old since luck is still quite relevant. The whole family loves it.

Description
Once upon a time, Hungry Monkey searched for his lost breakfast bean in the jungle. He asked the other animals for help, from Swift Sparrow to King Tiger, but they all ignored his pleas. Until Tiny Ant climbed into Tiger's ear and ordered him to help. King Tiger was scared by the voice in his ear. He commanded all animals to look for the bean, and no one dared to refuse. Eventually, Swift Sparrow found the bean, and Hungry Monkey was finally happy. Hungry Monkey is a card game where the goal is to get rid of your hand cards and collect beans. You have animal cards both in hand and in a face-down row. You must be the first to play all your cards, first from your hand and then from your card row. You have to play cards with the same or a higher number. You can trigger an effect with a powerful animal. If you want to play multiple games you keep track of the scoring with Bean cards. The player with the most beans at the end of the last game wins.

Beautiful artwork, fun to play several times the same evening. I very much like the two stages in the game needing some planning ahead and a bit of memorizing. Still easy to learn and accessible for kids.

Played 15 or 20 times at lunch at work, then I bought a copy and now I play with my daughter. Lowe stress, fast paced, one decision at a time with a soupçon of strategy. Art is delightful. Not a super fan of the scoring (i.e. drawing a card to get 1-3 points) but the game itself is a joy.

Game is brilliant. Looks like a very simple random game, of course is quite random, but it is fast and super exciting. Recommended!

I would rate this game higher than a 10 if I could. It is absolutely the PERFECT game to play with kids. My 9yo and I have been loving it, though younger kids could play as well (maybe age 6 or 7). The games are quick, so you can play a few rounds easily and losses are less painful. And the gameplay is interesting to me as an adult too. Total win! Must have! Highly recommend! Also love the art.
