First solo game in and I really liked it. I lost to the level 0 Automaton by 4 points, and I def see where I could maybe have taken a few turns differently to score bigger points. Second Solo game I beat the automa by 6 points! This game is a keeper so far. There's so much to do and the cards are fun.
I really love this game. The first time I played it, I had no idea what I was doing, but I liked the game immediately. Since then it has gotten better. There is not a lot of interaction, only in taking the action space someone else wanted to take. But that can hurt. So some planning of your 3 actions per round is necessary. You can make cool combos, but not in the absurd. There are only 2 main resources, which is good, because I have grown tired of resource focused games. And there is a huge replayability. Plus a fun theme. It works very well with 3 players. But the solo is also good. And fast! What's not to like?
This game plays beautifully. The timing is perfectly balanced for both two and four players. The number of mechanics is just right—there’s no unnecessary complexity, yet nothing feels lacking. There are multiple viable paths to victory, all seamlessly integrated into the gameplay. And the theme—it feels so natural that it completely immerses you in the experience.
This game has really grown on me. I really like it for solo play as well. The take that cards I removed, as I do not like that mechanism. Your do not have to underestimate the cards. That is, where the points come from.
