-sold- sleeved Against the Shadow 4 --- Since there are always some cool cards in the packs that is reason enough to buy them. I really like the diversity of this single adventure.

Assault on Osgiliath is probably my favorite location specific quest that I've had so far (not that Emyn Muil or Long Dark were particularly great). It is absurdly swingy, easily able to be defeated in a single round if the right encounter cards come out. It is a different challenge, and feels fairly unique in how it plays with trying to hold onto locations after clearing them. Aside from Steward's Fear, it probably has the best player cards in the cycle as well. Faramir is fun, and many other cards are very useful.

Funky scenario about location control. Merciless encounter cards in solitaire play. Very swingy depending on encounter card draw.

[easy mode] We really liked this one. Needing to retake and maintain control of Osgiliath locations is a distinctive mechanic that nicely complements the scenario goal. [i]An aside:[/i] We haven't regretted our decision to play the Heirs of Numenor core set and expansions on either easy mode (card removal, more resources) or semi-easy mode (card removal, regular resources), depending on each scenario's difficulty level. Our new decks are great fun, but they aren't nearly as powerful as our pre-HoN dwarf decks - those had much more treachery and shadow control, for starters - but that's why we're scaling back the difficulty. Because we're not silly in the head.
