It simple makes Greg game even greater. Start of the games are welcome additions, if you are unlucky with Mythos draws Nightmares put additional pressure and changes to how Personal Mythos encountered are all welcome additions. We’ve had some seriously fun games. The only thing I wish human players had a bit more chances to win as I’m pretty sure they haven’t changed from around 40% in base game. But oh well, it’s always good to be bad

In From the Abyss, a new expansion for Unfathomable, the SS Atlantica and her voyage to Boston plunge into ever deeper dangers.
New terrifying monsters emerge from the depths of the Atlantic ready to assault the ship, and the ocean waters themselves have become violent enough to throw passengers overboard.
New pitfalls are ready to sabotage the voyage and, with a deck of myths twice the size, dangers never before seen threaten the Atlantica at every stop. Fortunately, the humans on board have new tricks up their sleeve: in addition to the 8 new playable characters, players will be able to rely on the allies roaming the ship, determined to keep it afloat.
Prelude cards can also alter the initial conditions of each game, offering ever greater variety so that no two voyages are ever the same.
Between new abilities, new items and brand new Gift cards, the fight for the SS Atlantica has never been so fierce!

This expansion basically fixes everything wrong with the base game, and even base game is very fun with dedicated group. I really can't wait for the next expansion.
This is essential expansion, just get it if Unfathomable clicks your gaming group. Many modules makes the game much better and it's not hard to learn.
It makes the game better when BSG. It is balanced while adding components that make the game's beginning more interesting. Unfathomable is a 7.5 for me but with this Expention its above BSG and a 9 for me.
The addition of Horrors really adds terrific chaos to the game. A tentacle that pulls passengers off the deck? A rampaging Shoggoth that can only be pushed and not killed? Great ideas here. Allies are a nice addition. New items and new characters are always welcomed. Best of all, I enjoy that none of these add extra playing time to the game. They all fit within the existing components (except maybe Allies which are a free action). And I enjoy how Horrors add something fresh that distance itself from BSG. It can go in creative directions like this easily.
