+ La Pampa map is essentially Pampas Railroads with the SAR shock treatment applied: faster than its predecessor, with an elegant and organical growth compared to the syncopate SAR map development + Allegheny is Pennsylvania Railroad, a rich map with an organic and less syncopated growth - Some misprints on the board
La Pampa has all 5 initial companies starting in Buenos Aires, which creates interesting tensions very different than those of the South Africa map. I've never played Pampas Railroads but I understand this is the same map, and I can see why it was so highly regarded among Winsome games.

Played Allegheny map and enjoyed the subtle differences compared to South Africa. I liked how the key cities generally move westward over time, encouraging players to build in that direction.
They are very interesting map variety. However; I would not play them either less 5 players or this ways player turn order .
