Enjoy this game even more than Jaipur. The mechanics are little more "complex" and provide a bit more opportunity for strategy. The theme is fantastic, just like Jaipur. However, my primary partner in playing games, my wife, isn't always amenable to learning and playing new games so this doesn't get to be played as much, but I prefer it to Jaipur....similar game play, with a little more depth.

Jambo
In order to sell wares, the merchants must first lay the wares out, since customers will only buy where all the wares they want are being offered. And since market space is at a premium, players have to think hard about which wares to offer.
By owning important buildup cards and properly using the assets of other village inhabitants, the merchants succeed in attracting especially many customers to their stalls, making bargain buys, and messing with their opponents' plans.
The first player to reach a set cash level through buying and selling of wares is the winner.
The game's attraction lies with the many special cards. Many different combinations are possible during the game, and each game plays out differently as a result.
Contents
112 cards
52 gold pieces
36 wares
5 action markers
Jambo is part of the Kosmos two-player series.

With the two expansions this game is just perfect. The two expansions take away most games that have too much random luck and make it a very strategic game, that's different every time. The wares are just so much fun and you can really feel the atmosphere of buying and selling goods in a market. Really fun!
Perfection! One of my favorite 2-player Kosmos. Great 2 player card game about trading goods in a Central African Swahili village. Some meddling between opponents. Very relaxing, yet intelligent game. Good feel to gameplay. Quality artwork. My wife really enjoys this. We haven't tried expansions yet, though Jambo is great without them. We'd like to try them, still.
   All time favourite, will forever have a place in my heart. Spiel für 2 Spieler - Interaktion 10/10 Wiederspielwert 10/10 Illustrierung 10/10 - Kann man jahrelang Spaß mit haben - ein must have für 2 Spieler, die kompetitive Kartenspiele lieben. Meine #1 von Rüdiger Dorn.
Whoa. What a great, nay fantastic little two player game. I LOVE this game. buy/sell mechanic with lots of cards to screw things up real nice like. Superbness in a little box. UPDATE: I keep playing this game. The expansions have really well rounded this game out and it's just a fantastic game. The new carpets are so well done. The relic is still very applicable. Just so many ways to take this game. It's simply the best 2 player game for a fast playing card game. I upped this rating to a 9 and it deserves it.
