Well the 10 is because i wanted to lift the game's rating a little..in reality it is probably an 8. The rondel mechanism is excellent and the production value amazing. The overall idea is very good. Yes there is downtime(don't paly it with 4, i believe 3 is the optimal) and there are imbalances in the ship upgrades, but they are not as important as you might read. The general flow of the game is really ok. All in all a great euro game

I love it! It does not offer anything very innovative, but it applies what it proposes with excellence. It's heavy, but not so much and delivers a lot of fun ideas. Duration and downtime are consistent with what is expected from this type of game. Best setup in 2 - 3 players. It is a very conventional euro that drinks from the source of some classics. A safe choice, if you like that vibe, and are looking for fun!
I love the theme, the components, the design. I enjoy the challenge of constantly struglling between competing choices. On the downside, some of the late game cards can be overpowered or cause slightly broken combos and too much downtime.
Such a fun rondel and Viking game. The learning curve is actually pretty shallow, but you will find tons of depth to the game once you learn how to play. Played it first on BGA and then bought a copy from Amazon after a few plays. It is that enjoyable.
Components are very good and memorable. The game itself is a hard to master eurogame centered around a rondel action selection mechanism. The game has no catch up mechanism, so early bad plays are punished. Overall this was a surprisingly well polished game, and was fun to play with the playtesters, who pointed out different design-choices as we played.
