Love the costumes. I play with my 5 and 8 year old boys and I like the simplicity that the costumes bring over the regular power cards.

Description
King of Tokyo: Halloween, which is subtitled "Collector Pack 1", includes two new monsters for use with the King of Tokyo base game: Pumpkin Jack and Boogie Woogie. What's more, each monster comes with its own set of eight Evolution cards – first introduced in King of Tokyo: Power Up! – so that each monster can mutate into an even more nightmarish version of itself!
King of Tokyo: Halloween also includes six orange-and-black engraved dice (to fit the Halloween theme, of course) and twelve new Power cards to be shuffled into the deck. These cards are all Costumes, a new type of card that provides a powerful effect, but which can be stolen by any monster that rolls three claws and rips the costume off of you.
The first edition of King of Tokyo: Halloween included an exclusive promotional card for the standalone game King of New York, which debuted in 2014.

This is a really, really good expansion. It adds another set of dice so you can rotate two sets in a 6 player game, speeding it up. Both monsters that come with it, Boogie Woogie and Pumpkin Jack, look stunning and have great power up abilities. It adds a lot to an already great game.
This doesn't add anything too different. However, I am very pleased to include this in our personal King of Tokyo repertoire. Halloween adds 2 characters with their own evolution cards, , 8 costume cards, and a set of orange dice. Some of these evolution cards introduce a 3rd type of evolution: the Gift Evolution. My rating reflects the base game.
Fun but already have Power Up! and King Kong so more than enough to teach for a game I rarely play.
Awesome mechanic added. Vampire Princess Mechadragon is now possible. In our group, most of the time players goes for most points, but with those costumes, the attack are quite more valuable and players thinks more about their strategy.
CAUTION! Not suitable for children under 3 years of age. It contains small parts which could be swallowed or inhaled.
