Last Kingdom

Very fun and engrossing game, constantly on edge as to how each battle will play out. Each game has played out differently for us. You do need to adjust your strategy as you go, monitoring how each player is obtaining points, in order to win. Also lean into your player power. Very fun!

There is a lot to unpackage here., but I'll try to keep it short. The possibilities and strategies in this game are endless with the card drafting system. This game is really a great time, and I love the stress of late game, not knowing how many victory points other people have. So it encourages you make aggressive decisions that may or may not work out for you. I think even without The Last kingdom name this would be a very good game, but having TLK theme is so cool! I will be playing this game often! I definitely recommend trying this game out!

This game is great. Though there are a couple of complaints, mainly with art work. We are enjoying this one very much. The drafting cards is a nod to Blood Rage , which is another one of my favorite games. The shifting loyalties is brilliance, and you will never trust anyone ally or not. The mechanics are super simple , and everyone will understand most of the rules after 1 battle. Anyone who is a fan of the series will appreciate the thematic asymmetric heroes and leaders. Great work by John D Clair.

Backed this game because of the TV show and for the awesome models. However, added bonus the game is excellent!!! Really thematic, lots of intrigue and tactics and deceit. Totally recommend this fantastic game!

I wish it had different art, it would be a 10. This game is as good Inis or Blood Rage, sadly the clip art will probably hold it back from being the modern epic it could be.
