The Messenger is a promo card for Last Will. He gets added to your tableau. When you have him, you get an extra hat token each round. The hats are the workers that let you get the face up cards each round or let you maneuver the real estate market. So, very important to get him if he shows up. This should really always get added if you have it.
The best kind of promo; one that seems powerful, but doesn’t really affect the game that much.
A very nice little card. Feels like a very natural part of the game. However it's easy to play with the expansion, and never notice it, if the card is never drawn.
