I never expected to like this a lot, but the first time I played I was mercilessly thrashed and could see the potential. The second time I played I was mercilessly thrashed again and realised I'd remembered nothing from the first time. The third time it was me handing out the thrashing, and the fourth time it was a good competition. Looking forward to playing more, it works very sweetly.

Finally played this with the wife, I may have a new favorite. This has a good tradeoff between dong what you need to to make money while trying to fend off poverty. You have to sacrifice one card of the same color to play a card, and you may have to make money. A good combination of luck and strategy with the strategy usually triumphing over luck.
Well thought out game.Ticks all the right boxes for me. Update. After more plays, this game gets better and better.Outstanding design. Simply superb. Update. Without doubt THE BEST Wallace game.
Very much enjoyed this card-driven game, the first Martin Wallace game we've played. Unlike Tom Vasel, we like the map - may have something to do with one of us being brought up in London. Neither did we find it 'hard work' - quite the opposite. We used the well-established 2p variant.
Another Wallace masterpiece. Cruel and unforgiving, this one takes quite a few plays to learn the cards and properly see the combos and possibilities, but once you get it you realise what a fine game this really is.
