Very nice expansion, it comes with 2 very playable mages and two spell books for them.

Forcemaster... it remind me of Psyonics in D&D and it was my favorite class. In Mage Wars, it totally fit with my play style, so it is my favorite.

This expansion is necessary to flesh out the game, in my opinion. It adds options for the War School, Mind School, and Earth School, none of which had much presence in the base set. The mages leave a little to be desired though. The Forcemaster is beautiful and thematically exciting, although her game play can be a bit one dimensional and predictable. The Warlord is initially underpowered and needs Forged in Fire to be competitive, but provides an interesting play experience nonetheless.
