A fabulously unique and innovative game. Very puzzly, very satisfying. Can't recommend it more.

It's not just beautiful, but also instills a feeling of altering magical forces to cast spells and sometimes failing at what you set out to do. It's easy to play, but very difficult to master and sometimes, bad luck interferes.

At first, I was not sure whether the gameplay would be for me, but I was pleasantly surprised to discover it's actually quite fun! Casting spells and doing nice combos in this game feel quite satisfying! There is quite a bit of strategy. The artwork is what kept me awake at night. It rivals Mystic Vale. I would have kept it even if I disliked the gameplay. Whoever the artist(s) are, I WILL FIND YOU!!! ☝️ (...and ask for an autograph :D)

Kickstarter Deluxe Century - Golem/Spice Roads mixed with Res Arcana Pros - fun gameplay, good variability with player powers and spell/alteration combinations. Good strategic and decision depth that feels satisfying especially after being able to cast a huge spell. Excellent production, you really get your money's worth. Cons - Rulebook is obtuse, could benefit from an index. Very steep learning curve, can be overwhelming for beginner board gamers, given the large iconography. Game could have used a stripped down tutorial mode without arcanas, myst and it would still be a great game.

Pleasantly surprised by this one. I backed it based on its uniqueness compared to the rest of my library and was happy I did. Our few plays have been lovely, just crunchy enough affairs that don't overstay. The flexibility of the alteration system is fun to experiment with,. You often only have limited tools to work with, and they are rarely the same tools.. The puzzle is in using the tools available to achieve your goal, but it's not stingy with the tools! The art is lovely and bespoke for each cards effect, which is a welcome addition. All in all, happy to have it. I don't have anything else quite like it in my library.
