This thing is just . . . amazing. Big fan of the design/look of him/her/it (and the sculpt isn't bad, either . . .). UPDATE: February, 20204. We have yet to play a game without Jormungandr. He's great, even when losing!

With 5 activation cards, an Art of War card, Block, Projection, and Terror, he brings the apocalypse to the board, putting enormous pressure on the opponent.
As an active power, Jörmungand can use for an Art of War card his Deadly Venom, a 6-dice area attack that takes place in his area.
With Tidal Wave, Jörmungand can spend 2 Art of War cards to place up to 3 of his 3D tokens in the surrounding areas. These areas become Water (Aquatic) areas until the end of his next activation. The 3D elements (scenery) and tokens are removed from these areas.
Jörmungand also has the double-edged Huge trait. Talents and powers that allow to move a unit (such as Mighty Throw, or Njörd's Whirlwind) are ignored by Immense creatures. On the other hand, they cannot enter an area with a capacity of less than 3.
An expansion to Mythic Battles: Ragnarök containing:
- 1 Titan-sized miniature
- 1 Dashboard
- 3 3D tidal wave tokens
- 5 activation cards

+++ This is the single most powerful unit in the whole game [including Pantheon] and super fun to play. What's not to love about seeing gods and titans thrown around on the battlefield? It's also interesting, because it cannot recall troops, so this changes gameplay quite a bit and should spice things up. The scenarios are also quite interesting with some novel mechanics. One is set during the last Ragnarök battle and has Thor in a complete rage (with the double number of activation cards!) running after the snake, ignoring everything else. Last but not least, I find the miniature (or rather bigature) super gorgeous, especially when you paint the scales and embellishments properly.
