Description
Nakasendo is a strategic board game inspired by the ancient route connecting Edo to modern Kyoto during feudal Japan. Players build their path between Tsumago and Magome by placing Path tiles, adding Discovery tokens, and shaping the most harmonious itinerary through mountains, cedar forests, and ancient villages.
Seasonal events will bring snow and bears along the way, forcing players to adapt their plans and recalibrate scoring opportunities. Planning is essential, as mid-game scoring conditions change throughout the game, and every choice can influence the final outcome.
At the end of the journey, only the richest and most balanced path will lead to victory.
