Unique bid mechanism, perfect clash of brains when played in two players. Smart and compact box. For me the best title by Flatout Games. I need to play it again and again.

Nocturne is proving to be a fine two player game. The art and theme combine nature and magic in a pleasing way. The game juggles spell casting, set collection, bidding, and objective completion in a way that leaves many options open if your fellow player thwarts one of your plans. Play is balanced; my husband and I have each won one game so far, and both times we weren’t entirely sure who had prevailed until we totaled the final points. Definitely want to play again!

Very enjoyable, but apparently not everyone can wrap their heads around the unusual worker placement and area control mechanics in this game.

Kickstarter version with mini expansion and 3D print inserts. Great Artwork. Thinky. Good game. Need to play more and with others.
