Obsession: Characters

An extravagant Dowager Countess lives outside Derby in a stately estate tastefully styled like a Scottish castle. Even more tasteless, however, is the selection of residents: an illustrious ensemble of eccentric individuals from all over Europe and the entire Empire use the estate as a refuge. With the Characters expansion, 3 personalities come into play that you can invite to your estate to help you in difficult situations. There are also assistants that you can hire flexibly - but what that means for your reputation, you can imagine... Reverent Grantly allows you to exchange goal cards in the game, but expects a donation for the church. With Constable Bucket, you can ignore negative favors from guests and dismiss any number of unwanted guests. The Dowager Countess grants you access to a selection of eccentric exiles who have expensive tastes but also know prestigious guests. In addition to the personalities and assistants, there is also the Notable Family Members module in the Characters expansion, new goal cards, additional solo opponents, and a versatile variant catalog with, for example, a cooperative game mode.
