On Hell's Highway is a historical simulation recreating the Allied air assault in the Netherlands in September 1944. Players control British and American forces attempting to capture key bridges while facing a tenacious German defense. A game for 2-4 players, lasting about 300 minutes, suitable for ages 12 and up.

Description
On Hell's Highway is a simulation on two maps of the massive Allied air assault and ground offensive in the Nazi-occupied Netherlands in September 1944. Taking advantage of a disorganized and retreating German army, over three British and American airborne divisions were parachuted along a 60-mile corridor in an attempt to capture key bridges over multiple rivers and canals, allowing the British XXX Corps to advance north and cross the lower Rhine into the industrial heart of Germany. However, Allied overconfidence, hasty planning, and a bit of misfortune, along with a surprisingly tenacious and coordinated German defense, resulted in the last Allied operational failure and the destruction of an entire British airborne division.
Designed by John Butterfield, On Hell's Highway is not a simple rehash of the award-winning original Hell's Highway, but a reimagined treatment that provides a new gaming experience. Leveraging more recent and extensive historical works, this redesign includes a revised order of battle and reinforcements table, with a more accurate map based on more detailed sources. The revised gameplay system includes a simpler combat fire table that allows for situational outcomes, adding uncertainty and volatility while maintaining the core features that make it familiar.
