Oceans is a strategic game where players adapt their marine species to the ever-changing environment to collect populations and prevent extinction or overpopulation. They play cards that give species specific characteristics, creating a system where they must balance populations to avoid extinction. Species age at the end of each turn and must be monitored to avoid extinction. Scenario cards add random events to the game. Contains surface and deep cards, population markers, scenario cards, species boards, a reef, an ocean, screens, bonus markers, and an expansion card.
