Description Description
Pitchstorm is a party card game that puts players in the position of unprepared writers pitching movie ideas to the world's worst executives. During each round, one player acts as the executive, and everyone else attempts to pitch them movie ideas based on a character card and a plot card. At some point during each pitch, though, the executive may add a note card to the pitch and force the writer to add some really terrible new elements to their movie. At the end of the pitches, the executive chooses which movie they liked the best, with that person scoring a point, then the game continues from there. In groups of 6-12, players split into teams of two and must work with a partner to pitch their movie. This also means that there are two executives, and each of them gets to play a note card onto the pitch, leading to some pretty ridiculous movies.

As a film school grad, this party game is perfect. You essentially make loglines and have to pitch the movies to your friends and family, but there is a rotating player who gets to be the "producer" and judge the films. What i like that makes it different is that the "note" cards from the producer are genuinely so funny. They're written perfectly in the voice of a horrible executive. Added bonus: I was worried pitching movies might be a little too hard or too creative for my old-ish parents, but surprisingly I've literally never played with anyone who hasn't been able to grasp it, and love it. Thus the top tier rating.

What a surprise hit for me. Chanced across this on a sale and we just played our first round- didn't track score and just enjoyed the wild movie pitches. Hyped to find there are expansions!

Was able to get this game for a TableTop Tuesday Event and Stream. One of our favorite Party Games to play on the show

I had a chance to play this game during their Kickstarter campaign at a Tabletop Takeover event. We. Had. A. Blast. I am not particularly good at party games like this but it was a lot of fun and the director's notes are such a great component.

This game is absolutely amazing. It is very easy to learn and with the amount of cards, the twists the Executives can provide and how everyone has different imaginations, there are a large number of ways for this game to play out. This game has a very high replay value and the expansions really add to the game. I highly recommend this game to anyone who wants a game night less focused on winning and more focused on laughing.
