I was a bit weary about the game balance, but it seems well balanced and it's very fun. The trick is that there's an overwhelming abundance of fake cards and it sucks missing with a spy, so there's plenty of bluffing but only very impactful calls of bluffs. Most cards are pretty worthless, which makes the draft a bit pointless, but the concept of drafting in a bluffing game works well. It's simple, fast and yet a bit more meaty than most bluffing games. It's pretty and unique and I recommend it!

In Potemkin Empire, you will play the role of a mayor of a small Russian village. You will attempt to impress Empress Catherine by convincing her that you have the most prosperous and stable village in the land. But with her visit quickly approaching there’s no time to really fix your village so you’re just going to have to make it look as impressive as possible. That is to say, you’re faking it. You’ll accomplish this by drafting interior cards which are either real or fake, then combining them with facades to construct an imposing, if flimsy, kingdom.
You will score points by producing goods in your industrial buildings, exposing opponents’ fake buildings with spies, constructing government and cultural buildings, and passing off fake buildings as real ones. The player with the most points at the end of the game wins!

Had a lot of fun playing this. The group got into talking up their buildings saying every single one was real, which isn't possible. Ended up pretty close with players taking different strategies.
One play in, and wanting to play more. Despite its light weight, there's are plenty of tactical options baked in, and if you don't have the cards, you can bluff your way to victory.
