Another incredibly clever microgame proving how much you can do with so few cards. I really liked how reading the table greatly influences your tactics.

Great 2 player game. Uses multi-use cards to collect resources and fulfill contracts from a common tableau of cards. Gives me splendor vibes, but unique in its own right and fun.

Pyrotechnics is a tight, strategic two-player experience. I have already played numerous times with my mom and my wife, both of whom love strategy games but do not like a lot of rules. Each time, it took 1-2 games for them to internalize the basic gameplay structure and understand the icons. After those first couple plays, they have wanted to play over and over again. All of our games feel close (it's hard to blow someone out of the water in this game), but wins feel earned. It's a thinky game, but the short playtime allows it to fit into my day in a way that many strategic games don't. Have a few minutes after dinner? Easy to pull it out and get a quick game in!

This is a winner, visually and in motion, that delivers everything you'd want for a quick two-player contest. A charming hip-pocket companion that can be broken out for, taught to, and enjoyed by just about anybody with 10 minutes and a pal.
