After training and integration into vampire society, the plot shifts to the military arena: vampire forces are engaged in brutal conflict, complicated by the emergence of a new, terrifying faction, the Ghouls, led by the fearsome Mater Terroris. After a series of fierce battles, the vampires retreat to the Necropolis, where the Dance of the Dead is celebrated, a grand and perverse ceremony that serves as backdrop to political intrigue, betrayals and deepening the cruel nature of the inhabitants of this place.
