It was then that the Dead awoke. In every nation, corpses rose from the battlefields, mass graves, and hospitals, beginning their ferocious hunt for the human race.

Twelve years have passed since that day. The world has been reduced to a heap of rubble and violence, where the Dead are in constant search of living flesh, while the last survivors have become like desperate, dangerous beasts, willing to do anything to live one more day.
