Following the events surrounding Shy Pluto, two new zones within known space have opened up. The Admiral has promoted two new Captains to the rank of Commodore to command these new Space Bases and work their sectors! Command Station allows players to expand their games of Space Base to include two more players, and adds "pre-deployed" ship cards to adjust for balance and gameplay with more than 5 players. Now six or seven Commodores can compete for the promotion to become the Admiral of the U.E.S. Fleet! Contents: 2 Additional player boards 24 Starting ship cards (2 sets of 12 starting ships) 14 Pre-deployed cards (2 per player) 2 Sets of starting cubes 30 Extra charge cubes

Upgraded with player board acrylic overlays. Expansions: Dreadnaught Pack; The Emergence of Shy Pluto; and Biodome. Sleeved.

Review is based on what the expansion gives. Two extra players is nice (if you like the larger count), but the big wins here are the sleeves and storage box. There's more than enough sleeves to cover the expansions, and the box also easily hold "Shy Pluto" components. It stores the sleeved cards pretty well and still has some room leftover. Rated for it's value at preserving the game.

This expansion does everything an expansion should. Adds new elements and improves on gameplay. The added players was super important and lots of fun. I don't care for the card sleeves because the stacks fall over, but I understand that others really like the sleeves. The box design is a little strange, can't quite organize the cards without making a mess, but maybe I'm doing it wrong lol. But regardless, it's a must to have alongside the original.

Since the whole point of this game for our group is to be able to play with up to 7 people, this expansion is an absolute necessity. The cards for the personal die roll/buy action make it much more interesting for players on their opponents' turns.
