Superclub is a premium football manager boardgame where you compete face-to-face with the ones you love...to beat. You’re the newly appointed manager of a top flight football club. A decent club, not a great one. Certainly not a Superclub, although becoming one is the objective. The question is: Can you manage?
The game is divided in off-season and season.
In off-season you go through finance, develop talents, scout for the next stars, invest in bigger facilities and key staff. And off course buy squad improvements on deadline day. When the season starts you choose a strategy against you opponents, you play matches with your manager folders and dices. You will challenge injuries and draw both positive and negative game changer cards. There are two ways to crown the winning manager. The first one to reach 100 points. Or a manager wins three season in a row and beats his/her contender in the Supercup.

Beautiful aesthetic that really appeals to football fans, certainly older ones in my view. The game has had a few criticisms concerning dice rolls etc but no other game has managed to capture football management in board game form as well as this one. I understand the game has recently had its financial struggles but hopefully it can come back in time.
Every game is different, the introduction of the powerhouses expansion means you can always play with 6 teams and they make the first few seasons so much more challenging. Everyone has a different way to develop in off season and the luck of the draw on your players and key staff means you can't always play the tactics you like each time. Setting up and the first season draft are the longest parts, then play your first couple of seasons slowly to make sure you get used to everything. After that you'll fly through the off seasons and just be locked in your head to head battles with your rivals.
Barely a good soccer game out there and may some balance upgrades etc needed but a MUST for a soccer fan and the cool thing is that this imo can be easily updated and tweaked and with the licensing they more and more get it is just super fun!
Cannot recommend this enough to a football fan or more so football manager fans, it has become a monthly game for me and my friends surpassing 2 years now and each time the game throws out different & fun scenarios. The approach to how you play the game differs each time too, depending on how well you do in the draft will determine which other areas like training and investments you will focus on. I took a chance on this game and haven’t looked back, and with adding the 6 player expansion along with Wildcards and a team pack it keeps the game fresh
CAUTION! Not suitable for children under 3 years of age. It contains small parts which could be swallowed or inhaled.
