Show your hosting prowess and treat your favorite Surrealist artists and writers to an excellent dinner party! But this might be trickier than you’d imagine. Keep your guests happy by serving the food they desire, managing drama between them, and sending them home at the right time.
On your turn, bring new guests to the party, serve food and drink, or have guests socialize with their neighbors at the table. Each artist also has a unique habit, so pay careful attention to who is sitting next to whom! Of course you want to make all the guests you’ve invited happy, but if you can arrange for your opponents’ guests to start a little drama, that’s okay too!

Great little game. Gorgeus large cards, easy to learn and play. You can even choose complexity (play withouth faux pas, play withouth card abilitise, etc.). Played with 2 and 3 players, went pretty smoth.

2021 Top 100: 63 really gorgeous light filler game. The production in this is fantastic - beautiful large card and satisfyingly shaped cylinder tokens. Some small omissions in the rules, but nothing that affected gameplay in a significant way

Interesting resource gathering game with unique theming and a few interesting mechanics. Good as a quicker option with some neat art.

Original - 2023 04 21: I've never been to a fancy dinner party, but I still think Surrealist Dinner Party's theme makes sense. People have their own tastes, compliments can be legit or come across as passive-aggressive, and there's almost always drama. I really like this game. If you enjoy quick, light brain-burners with a bit of nastiness, plus a fun and unusual theme, I think you'll enjoy it as well.
