Terraforming Mars: Utopia & Cimmeria

Just played our 1st game on the Utopia side of the board. Interesting layout with a different mix of bonuses for terraforming different hexes. The Surburbian Award, for building on the Map edge was a competitive battle for us. It’s nice to have some new terrain, milestones and awards to push you to modify your strategy and tactics to maximize your score. Well done ?.

Two maps with powerful early bonuses and fun milestones and awards to chase. I really think they've outdone themselves here, as the game can begin fast and I especially love the 5 cost colony you can get to start owning the intersolar trade. I would always want to play these maps, but this is a non-essential expansion. I still love Amazonis & Vastitas more though.

A far too expensive expansion for what it is: two new maps, milestones, and awards. It does offer some variety, but it's certainly not essential. It's still nice to switch between boards, though.

With the addition of the Milestones & Awards expansion, this has essentially become a simple map pack featuring two new layouts and placement bonuses. I recommend getting one of the map expansions for variety, but I see little reason to purchase all three and end up with seven maps—unless you play the game religiously.
