When the planet Chimera Prime is invaded by an unknown alien horde, the Human Planetary Sphere deploys elite soldiers F.T.A. What seemed like a straightforward mission turns into a deadly trap: outnumbered, only a suicide mission can lead to victory. If humanity's last squad eliminates every leader of the invading force, they might survive and stop the alien advance.
The Last Squadron is a card management game where the player faces an alien invasion. To defeat the attackers, they must position their soldiers to eliminate the aliens on the planet. Each defeated alien grants immediate benefits. You lose if your soldiers run out; you win if all aliens are eliminated.

Partiendo de una baraja muy parecida a la de Póker, plantea un reto muy fácil de jugar, pero muy difícil de ganar. Cuando te lo explican ves que es tan sencillo, que es un pique intentar ganar. No podrás parar hasta conseguirlo. Además, tiene 5 niveles de dificultad, modo cooperativo, y diferentes modos de juego con nuevos objetivos para darle rejugabilidad y que cada partida sea diferente. Por último, también incluye un modo campaña.
