In Tiny Epic Western, you play iconic Wild West characters in an action-packed game where poker and worker placement intertwine. Place your character in various locations to gain actions, form three-card poker hands, and win duels in the desert. Build your western empire and become the town boss. Games last about 30 minutes with great strategic variety.

Description
The West is growing day by day, and you’re looking to stake your claim. To win, you have to gamble your relationships with the most powerful bosses in town to win influence. This influence comes in many forms: Law, Money and Force. If you’re clever enough, you’ll be able to take claim over the buildings in the evergrowing boomtowns and gain powerful abilities. At the end of the day, the boss who has the best combination of wit and bluff will become the most powerful tycoon in the Wild Wild West. The game is played in a series of rounds. Each round, poker cards are dealt between the locations, which are laid out in a circle. Players place posse members on these location cards, which will both give an action and count as a bid for the location's valuable resources. Players also get a poker card of their own which uses the two adjacent cards from a location to form a three-card hand. This creates a clever mix of modern worker placement and poker that drives the game. In addition, players must manage their resources of Law, Money and Force to buy buildings and gunfight. If you have the highest stake in the most lucrative industry at the end, you will be rewarded bonus points. Add these points to the points you've collected from buying buildings and determine the winner! Yippie kay yay a!

Best. I like that it's a worker placement, but you can break into a place where workers are already in place. Plus, even if you eventually win, you can still lose the poker game and have a negative resource total. It's absurd, but that's what I like about it.

Great games, combines strategy with random factor. Additinally, it's not too long, though after 6 rounds my head hurts like hell. Also TEW feels very western-y ;)

This just works for me. I love the poker play that influences where you want to place your posse members. So much crunch and gameplay for such a small box. For me this is the heaviest of the Tiny Epic games and every time I play it I'm reminded of how much I like it. I love the theme, artwork, and gameplay. The more you play and get an understanding of the rules and powers in the game the more the game flows. For me it's my favorite Tiny Epic game as of now. I just wish my wife liked it more.

I love this game. It it by far the best of the Tiny Epics. It's an ultra-tight medium weight euro with brilliant mechanics and really tough decisions at all points along the way. Tiny Epic Brain Burn is more like it. I have half a dozen plays under my belt and this gets better and better. It deserves it's own Poker Night in my schedule. Update: Played it again recently. Still a great game, but there are a couple of niggling rules that are non-intuitive that make it a chore to re-learn
