Tribes (Steve Jackson Games, prima edizione)
Tribes is a hybrid between a role-playing game and board game set in prehistory, 50,000 years before Christ. Play as cavemen and cavewomen who hunt, gather food and establish the laws of your tribe. The goal is simple and ruthless: raise healthy children to adulthood. The winner is whoever has the most surviving descendants, but the tribe only thrives when members know when to cooperate. The social rules players establish truly change everyone's survival chances. For 4-8 players, about 240 minutes. First edition from 1998.

Tribes, conceived by Steve Jackson and science fiction writer David Brin and illustrated by Donna Barr, is a game halfway between a role-playing game and board game set in prehistory, "50,000 years before Christ". Players are cavemen and cavewomen who hunt, gather food, establish the laws of their tribe and face natural disasters.
The objective is simple and ruthless: raise healthy children and bring them to adulthood. The winner is whoever has the most surviving descendants, but the tribe only thrives when its members know when to cooperate and when to protect their own family. The social rules that players establish truly change everyone's survival prospects.
With multiple copies of the game and a referee, it is possible to have multiple tribes play together, who can trade, exchange members or go to war.
This is the first edition from 1998 (code SJG 1800), packaged in a resealable bag: it contains the rulebook, the board on card in two sheets, the master sheet to photocopy character sheets and birth records, food tokens, grain, baskets and lance tips to cut out and numbered tokens for children and guardians. You also need paper, pencil and some six-sided dice.
