Unmatched is a highly asymmetrical miniature fighting game for two or four players. Each hero is represented by a unique deck designed to evoke their style and legend. Tactical movement and no-luck combat resolution create a unique play experience that rewards expertise, but just when you've mastered one set, new heroes arrive to provide all new match-ups.
Battle of Legends, Volume One features four heroes. King Arthur sacrifices cards to power up his attacks and gets some timely assistance from Merlin's magic. Alice is back from Wonderland with a giant vorpal blade and the Jabberwock by her side as she grows and shrinks to gain advantages on attack and defense. Medusa is happy to attack from range and let her harpies hound you, but just one devastating glance could end the battle quickly. Sinbad grows in power as he gains experience on each of his voyages.
Combat is resolved quickly by comparing attack and defense cards. However, each card's unique effects and a simple but deep timing system lead to interesting decisions each time. The game also features an updated version of the line-of-sight system from Tannhäuser for ranged attacks and area effects.
The game includes a double-sided board with two different battlefields, pre-washed miniatures for each hero, and custom life trackers that's brought to life with the stunning artwork of Oliver Barrett and the combined design teams of Restoration Games and Mondo Games.

Can’t believe this was the first Unmatched as it established such a great formula and has some brilliantly fun characters to play as. Sinbad is a go to Unmatched character for me, as is Alice. The other two characters are also really fun to play as. Only complaint I have is that due to the amount of repeat cards this doesn’t work quite as well when battling with other sets but as a set on its own it’s perfect.

Unmatched is the best game I have ever played This set is not my favourite there is so many fun characters with tons of expansions that everyone can play as characters they like. You just battle to the death with very unique characters 11/10

Nie byłem przekonany jednak zagrałem kilka razy i spodobał mi się ten typ rozgrywki. Polecam bo partie są dynamiczne i krótkie a fajnie jest móc zagrać różnymi znanymi postaciami :)

Unmatched est un excellent jeu d’affrontement mêlant jeu de cartes et jeu de figurine. Nerveux et rapide, on y incarne des personnages de fiction issus d’univers différents. Grâce à une mise en place éclair, on s’y plonge immédiatement pour le plus grand plaisir des protagonistes. Avec une mécanique très asymétrique, un système de combat original et la gestion de main et de deck, Unmatched est parfait pour ceux qui cherchent un jeu d’affrontement rapide avec une mécanique simple, à sortir pour savoir qui fait les tâches ménagères par exemple https://undecent.fr/2021/04/07/test-unmatched-vol-1-combats-multivers/
