Fun game with minimal interaction with other players. Your mostly working on your own board which is a nice change of pace from other games. If you’re a fan of Disney it’s a must have.

Villainous lets you take on the role of one of six legendary Disney villains: Queen of Hearts, Ursula, Captain Hook, King John, Jafar, or Maleficent. Each villain has their own specific objective to "twist" the endings of classic Disney fairy tales. Use Fate Cards to cast spells, punishments, and magical objects while competing against other players to reach your goal first and win.

Description
In Villainous, each player takes control of one of six Disney characters, each one a villain in a different Disney movie. Each player has their own villain deck, fate deck, player board, and 3D character.
On a turn, the active player moves their character to a different location on their player board, takes one or more of the actions visible on that space (often by playing cards from their hand), then refills their hand to four cards. Cards are allies, items, effects, conditions, and (for some characters) curses. You need to use your cards to fulfill your unique win condition.
One of the actions allows you to choose another player, draw two cards from that player's fate deck, then play one of them on that player's board, covering two of the four action spaces on one of that player's locations. The fate deck contains heroes, items, and effects from that villain's movie, and these cards allow other players to mess with that particular villain.

I love the artwork of this game and if you are a fan of disney it is a must-have. The playing time of this game can be way more than 120min, it relies on the villains. I would say it is suitable for even more than 6 players if you are ready to spend more than 5 hours haha

H: The first modern boardgame I wanted, in 2018, before I even knew about modern boardgames. After 7 years I was finally able to buy it, and the 10 is because I’m emotionally bias towards this one. That being said, anyone who grew up with a TCG (Yu-Gi-Oh, Magic, Pokémon, Hearthstone...) will feel at home here. You just can't stop thinking about it until you've tested all the decks, and than you will want to test all combinations, and it has so much replayability that it never gets old. There are some balance issues that I use house rules to bypass. L: 7/10 - It being in English and being language dependent was an issue. Other than that, its fine.

Lately, this game seems to fit my ideal game experience: a head-to-head thematic card dueler, simple enough to teach new players, yet offering a medium amount of complexity to explore. The gameplay is extremely fast and "snappy," and you can easily fit in 3-4 rounds in one night without burning a sweat. The action-selection mechanic--which slowly gets covered up by your opponent's attack cards--was a brilliant design choice.

Villainous est pour moi un véritable coup de cœur. Nous sommes loin d’un jeu enfantin malgré l’univers de Disney. L’interaction est forte dans des parties à 2 joueurs et diminue avec le nombre de méchant. Chaque partie est différente et on n’a qu’une envie c’est de jouer un autre méchant et/ou de rencontrer un autre adversaire.
