Voidfall: Resurgence
Voidfall: Resurgence introduces Psionics, warriors awakened from Corruption who fight for humanity. With new Psionic Agenda decks, six new Houses, Technologies and innovative game mechanics, the expansion strategically enriches the original game. New Special Sectors, scenarios and Cooperative mode improvements complete the package.
After Voidfall and the betrayal of House Novarchon, Corruption spread through Domineum like an unstoppable plague, transforming the once-glorious galactic empire into a puppet devoid of will under the Voidborn. While the Great Houses of the border worlds fought desperately in a war that dragged on for decades, a spark of hope began to take root.
Some individuals, thought lost forever to the Voidborn, inexplicably began to awaken, recovering fragments of their former selves. Though their bodies still bear the scars of Corruption, they have learned to suppress Voidborn control and harness psychic powers without succumbing to madness. As these Psionics emerge throughout Domineum, wielding their minds as humanity's most formidable weapon, the tides of the endless war might finally begin to turn.
Voidfall: Resurgence, the first expansion for Voidfall, introduces a new concept to the game: "Psionics". With a new type of Agenda deck, Psionic Agendas, you can exploit powerful and reusable abilities, opening new strategies and new ways to customize your House. Single-use Psionic Combat tokens allow you to launch Psionic Attacks or raise Barriers, potentially changing the outcome of key battles, while deploying Psionic Vanguards in strategic sectors allows you to take greater risks for even greater rewards.
Beyond Psionics, the expansion adds much new content to the game: six new Houses (three of which heavily focused on the new Psionic mechanic), twelve new Technologies (introducing new game concepts, a new Fleet type, a new Installation type, and a new Guild type), new types of Special Sectors and scenarios, improvements and additions to Cooperative mode, and much more.
