Description
Hope and Despair is an expansion for War of the Ring: The Card Game that introduces a new card type: the Story Card. Inspired by key events and turning points in The Lord of the Rings, Story Cards represent natural and supernatural influences on the events of Middle-earth, offering a powerful way to customize your deck.
The expansion includes 54 Story Cards, 40 Story tokens, and rules for adding Story Cards to the game, in both multiplayer and solo modes.
Hope and Despair can be used together with Fire and Swords, or with just the base game. Bot Shadow cards are also included for use with Against the Shadow, to play solo or cooperatively.
