Outstanding game design. Probably the best operational level urban wargame ever made. Played best with an additional player keeping score and helping the players in the turn sequence, and the random events, but quite brilliant.
Very interesting low complexity game. Very high-end components and good design. The rulebook is good. Very few unanswered questions about rules which can mostly be answerd through common sense. The choice for tactical options with cards allow for great replayability. I did enjoy the game a lot. Only caveat is the way to fight which seems streamlined (and historically accurate) as Daech seting up the meatgrinder in the old city to win time and cause casualties. Nevertheless, i enjoyed it a lot and it will hit the able again. Thanks to the design team!
Simple yet conveying sophisticated concepts; a clean, playable design. The solitaire implementation is very good. Excellent replayability, Given that the outcome of the battle is historically inevitable, victory in the game is not. Solving the problems presented to the Iraqi player still holds suspense, because how you win is as important as winning.
Une simulation des combats urbains qui semble accessible et riche. Le jeu fonctionne parfaitement : instructif et ludique il représente en plus un beau défi pour les joueurs. Il est simple et bien pensé, riche de ses capacités
