For me..... best boardgame ever. I play very often with friends (1-2 times a week). it never bores, everyone has other tactics and the finish is almost everytime close. I bought every game Expansions) twice so I can get creative with the board layout.

Wettlauf nach El Dorado is the race and deck-building game by Reiner Knizia, here in the second German edition by Ravensburger from 2023, with optimized components, new artwork, and an included mini-expansion.
Each player leads an expedition through the South American jungle in search of the legendary golden city. Players start with a small deck of expedition cards: each turn, cards in hand are used either to move on the board or to recruit new crew members, such as explorers, scientists, and guides. You must decide who supports your team, which route to follow, and who to leave behind.
The modular board changes with every game, always offering a different challenge and strategy. When an expedition reaches El Dorado, the final round begins: the winner is the first to arrive, or in case of a tie, whoever has collected the most tokens along the journey.

Just over a year since I bought this game and it has been played so much I need a new copy just to replace the worn out cards
Really fun mix of racing and deck-building. The different map setups give it plenty of replayability, a very satisfying game with a great sense of competition.
Elegant, accessible game for everyone to enjoy. Minimal and balanced deckbuilding with spatial interaction in the race to be first to El Dorado = perfection
A combination of deck building and racing on the board against your friends. You may also create different maps and routes every time you play.
