The best game.

Confrontational and immersive. The game packs the tension and the spirit of Twilight Struggle with a shorter play time while minimizing the card memorization aspect. The only negative is the obscure end of decade phase. It is easy once you understand but I found it hard to explain to new players. I am so happy that I found this hidden gem as it instantly became one of my all time favorites.

I've enjoyed this game the 6+ times I've played. Sides play quite differently. Deceptively hard for the West to win. Both sides have to find a balance between building themselves up and tearing down their opponent. I prefer this title for many reasons, not the least of which is the face up card market, over its CDG "relatives."

IMO one of the best Weuro out there, both for beginner and experienced players. I could play this game 5 times in a row and not get bored. The game is like chess, it's a tug-of-war game between 2 people reacting to each other with clever shenanigan and smart card usage, and I like it A LOT. It remind me of Twilight Struggle but quicker. Highly recommend.

Amazing game. Was an eye opener for me. Great mix of story and mechanics where the CDG mechanism ensures that every game plays out differently while the game still ensures that the better player will win almost every time. Together with The Great Zimbabwe my absolute favorite game. The shared card display which distinguishes it from games like Twilight Struggle is excellent since it results in the direct conflict of "what do I/my opponent want - what do I/my opponent not want to happen.
