Wow! No wonder it’s #1 ranked in Children’s. But I’d argue it’s also easily a family game. The theme is kids, but it’s fun for grown-ups as well. If the first few plays seem boring, just wait…the envelopes add complexity. A great game where you can vary the rules according to who is playing. I gave it a 10, but the rule book is not super clear on some things. You’ll need BGG forum. Truly a cooperative game.

The game has really grown on me. Quick to set up and quick to play. It was easy for my kid (9) to learn because the player powers and baddie varieties were added bit by bit. My kid has been asking to play before school in the morning. We’ve opened the last envelope, and I’m still interested in trying out set-ups we haven’t played yet.

Perfect game for kids learning to play board games, works well with my 5 year old. She's not got a sense yet of how to play an "optimal" turn with the hidden envelope content added, but the game can have its difficulty scaled progressively by adding in more and more of the hidden content as necessary. So it's probably got a year or two of life in it yet, despite having played it a dozen times already. She's very excited to introduce it to friends when they're over. Am now buying as a gift for my daughter's friends' birthdays - when they are logically inclined / patient.

Played over almost 3 years whenever or granddaughter came to visit. She's now 10, and we just completed it. She would come in asking for us to play, and she would set it up herself. The legacy stickers and envelopes were a big attraction, and she learned game etiquette like letting others make their own decisions, teamwork, turn phase order affecting rules resolution, and reading the rules carefully. Great game. She asked for a sequel!
