In worker placement you have a few meeples and many action spaces: once you put one down, nobody else can usually go there until next round. All the tension lives in that moment, grabbing the action you need before your neighbour does. It is the signature mechanic of the European-style euro and suits players who want to build a resource engine with indirect but constant interaction.
Tables average 2 to 4, sessions around an hour and a half, recommended age 12 and up. Parks (EDIZIONE ITALIANA 2026) is the gentlest way in, an hour for 1 to 5 players; Architetti del Regno Occidentale makes it fast and mean in 80 minutes. Stardew Valley: The Board Game and Underwater Cities (EDIZIONE INGLESE) are the two-and-a-half-hour titles for 1 to 4; owners of Robinson Crusoe will find the Mini Espansione Spiaggia here.
